Take it All In

God gives us so much to see and enjoy. Color is one of his greatest gifts to us.

Pink is a peculiar color for me. The shade has to be just right. I do not like pick furniture but do rely on flowers in the home to bring that color in. This is a photo I took outside of my residence a few years ago.
I do sparingly add pink to my wardrobe choices as it adds femininity and softness.

I like pink desserts.

And then you breathe out.

Seven or so weeks ago, I planted several tomato and pepper plants in pots in the back yard of my childhood home. There were several times when I had to remind myself "how hard can it be?". Over the years I thought of my grandmother and how she kept a garden growing in what is now (and maybe then although I didnt know it) known as "the hood". There were rows of greens, tomatoes and several other vegetables growing effortlessly right outside her back door and down the steps. I often chided myself as I realized that if she had growing hands, so did I. It must be in my blood. So I stepped out on that notion. Many days came the defeat blinks, the fleeting moments where you just arent sure this will work out. And then the breakthru. The morning you wake up and your focus and passion for something rears its head. And then you finally understand the word hallelujah.

I present here the first of my yield. My children have been part of this process and I am proud of them.
